1. Security Gate Servicing & Maintenance Terms & Conditions

1.1 Security Gate Servicing & Maintenance Service starts on the date of purchase and will expire in 365 days from date of purchase, unless renewed prior. For example, if service is purchased at any time on the 3rd of January 2022, the service will expire at 11:59pm on 2nd January 2023.

1.2 An LSS representative will contact the customer/account holder within 72 hours of services being purchased to arrange the initial security gate ‘health check’ and ‘service’.

1.3 £365+VAT fee for Security Gate Servicing & Maintenance Service includes one annual security gate health check & service, inclusive of service consumables such as motor oil and hydraulic fluids.

1.4 Security Gate Servicing & Maintenance Service allows the customer/account holder to make unlimited callouts in the event of security gate ‘failure’ or ‘breakdown’. Each callout will incur a £40+VAT callout charge and does not include the cost of replacement parts, labour or VAT where applicable.

1.5 Callouts and any necessary repairs or servicing will be carried out by employees of Security Syndicate London Ltd or any of its vetted and approved sub-contractors.

1.6 In the event a security gate(s) cannot be repaired at the time of initial visit, Security Syndicate London Ltd or any of its vetted and approved sub-contractors may be able to open or close gate(s) manually as a temporary measure where possible, but only if requested by the customer/account holder.

1.7 Security Syndicate London Ltd or any of its vetted and approved sub-contractors cannot be held responsible for any damage caused to security gate(s) as a result of manual opening or closing of the gate(s) at the customer/account holder’s request.

1.8 Any required works will be quoted to the client verbally or in writing prior to work commencing. Only upon agreement of costs verbally or in writing will Security Syndicate London Ltd or any of its vetted and approved sub-contractors begin repairs and/or maintenance. 1.9 Customers/account holders seeking access to a property via security gates will require photo identification presentable to Security Syndicate London Ltd or any of its vetted and approved sub-contractors for security purposes.

1.10 Any person(s) other than the customer/account holder seeking access to a property via security gates will require prior permission from the customer/account holder as well as photo identification presentable to Security Syndicate London Ltd or any of its vetted and approved sub-contractors for security purposes.

1.11 Any persons requiring access to the customer/account holder’s property that does not carry valid photo identification may be refused entry and the customer/account holder may still be charged a £40+VAT call out fee.

1.12 To renew an annual Security Gate Servicing & Maintenance service, an LSS representative will invite you to repurchase the Security Gate Servicing & Maintenance service online prior to, or on expiration or existing service agreement via https://www.lsslondon.co.uk/product/security-gate-servicing/.

Alternatively, an invoice can be provided by LSS on request, with payment due on receipt, by emailing enquiries@lsslondon.co.uk using the subject line GATE SERVICE RENEWAL, whilst including your name and address details in your message.

Arrangements can also be made to set up annual direct debits on request for the purpose of easy renewal.

1.13 The Security Gate Servicing & Maintenance Service is non-refundable, however if you wish to cancel your annual service for any reason before it is carried out, please email enquiries@lsslondon.co.uk with the subject line GATE SERVICE CANCELLATION, along with your name and address details and LSS will remove your premises from any service or maintenance schedules.

1.14 If the customer/account holder does not wish to renew, they do not need to do anything upon expiry of their service. The service will automatically end unless the customer/account holder chooses to renew the service for another year having carried out the steps listed in article 1.12.

1.15 In the event of a callout, the customer/account holder agrees to be charged £40+VAT. An LSS engineer or any of LSS’s vetted and approved sub-contractors will endeavour to arrive within 1 hour of callout.*

*Waiting periods may be longer depending on external factors such as traffic or road restrictions. LSS and any of its vetted and approved sub-contractors will not be held responsible for any delayed arrival and any arrival times provided are entirely provisional.

1.16 LSS are not responsible for the activation or deactivation of any security alarms or systems at the subject premises whether residential or commercial and LSS cannot be held accountable for any loss or damage caused to property.

1.17 LSS are not responsible for any broken, damaged or faulty gates installed by any third party. Customers/Account holders are responsible for ensuring any gate(s) are fully functional prior to the Security Gate Servicing & Maintenance Service commencing.

1.18 Security Gate Servicing & Maintenance Service applies to one access point only, consisting of a single security gate or a ‘set’ of security gates operating in unison to form one access point. Security Gate Servicing & Maintenance can be purchased for additional gate(s), and may be available at a discounted cost. Please contact enquiries@lsslondon.co.uk for more information and pricing.

1.19 Customers/account holders are responsible for notifying LSS of any change of address or change of gate(s).

1.20 The customer/account holder may be liable to an additional £40+VAT call out fee in the event that they are unable to meet the LSS engineer or any of its vetted and approved sub-contractors at the pre-agreed location. Additional visits will result in a further £40+VAT call out charge.

2. Charges/Fees

2.1 Callout charges and any charges for pre-agreed repair works carried out (including parts and labour) will be invoiced to the customer/account holder in due course with payment due within 14 days of receipt of invoice. Invoice payments can be made via BACS/Bank Transfer to Security Syndicate London Ltd using the bank details provided or an online payment gateway can be supplied on request.

2.2 Failure to pay callout fees within 14 days of invoice being issued by LSS may lead to an additional late payment fee of 25% of the original invoice total. For every 7 days payment is delayed thereafter, an additional late payment fee of 25% of original invoice total will be incurred up to a maximum of 6 weeks at which point any outstanding debts will be passed onto the necessary recovery agencies which may incur further late fees and interest payments.

3. Application

3.1 
These terms and conditions (T&Cs) shall apply to the provision of the services and to the client / account holder as set out by Security Syndicate London Ltd trading as London Security Syndicate (LSS London), a company registered in England and Wales (Company Registration Number 09929409)3.2 LSS London may make reasonable, non-material changes and updates to these T&Cs at any point without prior notice.

4. Definitions

“Account Holder” refers exclusively to the name of the person that purchased the agreement with Security Syndicate London Ltd and only that person.

“Callout” refers to any request made by the ‘Customer’ for Security Syndicate London Ltd to execute details as described in the agreed keyholding service.

“Client” refers exclusively to the name of the person that purchased the agreement with Security Syndicate London Ltd and only that person.

“Customer” refers exclusively to the name of the person that purchased the agreement with Security Syndicate London Ltd and only that person.

“Gate(s)” refers to a single mechanical security gate that provides access to or from the property, or a ‘set’ of gates which operate in unison to form one access point to or from the property.

“LSS, “LSS London” refers to the trading names of London Security Syndicate Ltd and its employees or representatives.

“Third Party” refers to any person(s), company, institution or agency other than that of the ‘Customer/Account Holder’ or Security Syndicate London Ltd.

“Officer”, “Agent”, “Representative” describes any employee or director of Security Syndicate London Ltd.

“Premises” means the Premises in respect of which the services are to be provided, the details of which are to be provided by the ‘Customer’ upon completion of purchase.

“Property” means the Property in respect of which the services are to be provided and any present items associated with that property such as motor vehicles, furniture or other valuables.

1. Keyholding Terms & Conditions

1.1 Keyholding service starts on the date of purchase and will expire in 365 days from date of purchase, unless renewed prior. For example, if service is purchased at any time on the 3rd of January 2022, the service will expire at 11:59pm on 2nd January 2023.

1.2 An LSS representative will contact the customer/account holder within 72 hours of services being purchased to arrange the collection and safe storage of key(s).

1.3 Keyholding service is intended for use in emergencies in the event that the customer/account holder’s primary key(s) are lost or unavailable.

Valid photo identification such as a driving license will be required upon delivery of key(s).

1.4 Keyholding service can be used in the event that access must be provided to a third party with strict prior permission from the customer/account holder being provided.

In such instances, any third party wishing to enter the customer/account holders property/premises with the customer/account holder’s permission may only be granted access upon providing valid photo identification such as a driving license or passport, matching the name(s) given by the customer/account holder.

1.5 Any persons requiring access to the customer/account holder’s property that does not carry valid photo identification may be refused entry and the customer/account holder may still be charged a £40+VAT call out fee.

1.6 To renew an annual Keyholding service, an LSS representative will invite you to repurchase the Keyholding service online prior to, or on expiration or existing service agreement via https://www.lsslondon.co.uk/product/keyholding-service/.

Alternatively, an invoice can be provided by LSS on request, with payment due on receipt, by emailing enquiries@lsslondon.co.uk using the subject line KEYHOLDING RENEWAL, whilst including your name and address details in your message.

Arrangements can also be made to set up annual direct debits on request for the purpose of easy renewal.

1.7 The keyholding service is non-refundable, however if you wish for LSS to return your key(s) for any reason, please email enquiries@lsslondon.co.uk with the subject line KEYHOLDING CANCELLATION, along with your name and address details and we will arrange a suitable time and location in which to deliver your keys at no extra charge.

1.8 On expiry of services, if the customer/account holder does not wish to renew, any key(s) will be returned to the customer/account holder only, at no extra charge.

1.9 In the event of a callout, the customer/account holder will be charged £40+VAT. An LSS officer will endeavour to arrive within 1 hour* of callout. Customers/account holders subscribed to LSS Residential Security Patrols will likely be met within 15-20 minutes* of their request depending on the customer/account holder’s tariff and officer availability.

*Waiting periods may be longer depending on external factors such as traffic or road restrictions. LSS will not be held responsible for any delayed arrival and any arrival times provided are entirely provisional.

1.10 LSS are not responsible for the activation or deactivation of any security alarms or systems at the subject premises whether residential or commercial and LSS cannot be held accountable for any loss or damage caused to property in the supply of keys.

1.11 LSS are not responsible for any incorrect, damaged or faulty keys being supplied by the customer/account holder and a £40+VAT callout fee may still be charged. Customers/Account holders are responsible for ensuring any key(s) are fully functional prior to LSS collecting them.

1.12 Key(s) will only be delivered to the address stated at the time of purchase (LSS Online Store checkout) and will not be delivered to any other location unless prior consent is provided or whereby delivery to the subject address is not possible due to unforeseen circumstances.

1.13 Customers/account holders are responsible for notifying LSS of any change of address or change of keys/locks.

1.14 The customer/account holder may be liable to an additional £40+VAT call out fee in the event that they are unable to meet the LSS officer at the pre-agreed location for delivery/collection of keys. Additional visits will result in a further £40+VAT call out charge.

2.3 All keys are stored securely and are allocated unique identifiers featuring no accessible address information. This is to prevent use by any unauthorised person(s) or third parties in the unlikely event of a security breach.

Officer”, “Agent”, “Representative” describes any employee or director of Security Syndicate London Ltd.

Premises” means the Premises in respect of which the services are to be provided, the details of which are to be provided by the ‘Customer’ upon completion of purchase.

Property” means the Property in respect of which the services are to be provided and any present items associated with that property such as motor vehicles, furniture or other valuables.
